Came here to celebrate an event with friends. The service was absolutely brilliant - very attentive but not in your face. The food was also really good - as the only vegetarian on the table I was a bit worried that I’d miss out but they made a point of bringing the vegetarian plates to me first so I didn’t miss out. The food all tasted lovely - I usually don’t enjoy cauliflower but the cauliflower steak was tasty. We also had our two kids with us - we weren’t sure they would love the menu so they added some potatoes and chicken thighs to the menu and some meatballs and rice. The kids ate it all and even enjoyed some of the main meals. Great food and service, will be back!

Updated review: Even better than last time I went, food was fantastic, great service. Original: I'd been meaning to give Peckham Bazaar a try for a seriously long time, and I'm glad I did. Really nice, relaxed vibe and I was well looked after by their friendly and efficient team. Food was good, wine list ok. Worth a repeat visit, for sure.

After coming here for 7 years with confidence can say this is my favourite restaurant in London. The tldr is that you absolutely must go and see for yourself - absolutely no worlds, John is a genius. The way the food is curated , presented and served is art - as many other reviewers mentioned, the flavour profile of each dish is balanced and well thought out and the textures pair so well. There are combinations which are in theory simple that have changed the way I cook and eat, the menu always has the staples such as the courgette fritters and chicken thigh but overtime get tweaked slightly, the new dishes are added and there are seasonal specialties you might be lucky enough to catch every once in a while. The restaurant is family run and the owner often prepares the food himself - If you hear Alle! Alle! ringing out from behind the counter you know you are in for a special treat. Every time I come here I have the experience of the food critic from Ratatouille and I am yet to bring a single person here that deems the food as anything less than outstanding. Hard to put into words what makes this place so special, but I think if you spend decades honing your craft as a chef or restaurateur, this is the kind of place you’d want to create—one that feels so refreshingly real, carefully considered, and effortlessly exceptional.

Food here was very nice, good quality and well cooked. Some very nice star dishes. I enjoyed visiting here, book in advance as availability isn't great on the day when I wanted to go. Had to get an earlier meal but that was a Friday night.

A fantastic restaurant. Every dish we had was thought through and well balanced the prices are astoundingly fair... if anything low considering the quality of the ingredients and meal overall. The service was friendly and enjoyable. The restaurant itself if understated and elegant without being stuffy. Honestly one of the best restaurants I’ve been to in a while, it’s definitely going to be a regular spot!

Outstandingly delicious and visually vibrant food in a relaxed atmosphere with a well curated list of predominantly Greek, low-intervention wine. A real neighbourhood gem that deserves greater accolades. Can’t recommend highly enough. The Breads came with Tapenade, and worked well with the Taramasalata and Babaganoush; the Marinated Pork Skewers were divine as were the Pork and Veal Keftedes. Yet I’m ashamed to admit that I was so busy enjoying the food that I forgot to take any photographs until we’d finished, but the patina of our table was beautiful.

After reading recent reviews I was sceptical at first about going. But I’m glad to say we had an amazing time. The food and flavour combinations were delicious and exciting! The plate sizes are larger than you’d expect. The octopus was amazing, so was the mushroom croquettes and the sardines. The pork was also lovely but one part of the 2 was quite dry (still so good though). A perfect candle lit date for 2 food lovers (my partner is Italian and hard to impress so him saying 5 starts too is a big compliment) excited to go back soon! One of our new favourite places in London.
